When Beth was 15, she ended up pregnant and asked Jamie for help, Jamie then made a decision which would lead to his sister’s lifelong. In a flashback viewers, Jamie is seen taking Beth to a clinic on the Native American reservation as it would be too risky to take her anywhere else.
The main reason was explored in season three when fans found out Jamie had driven Beth to have an abortion on a Native American reservation when she was a teenager. The nurses had told Jamie how they could only sterilize Beth and she would no longer be able to have children.
At the core of why Beth cannot have biological children is what a “Yellowstone” flashback revealed last season. Firstly, Beth got pregnant as a teenager. Well, Beth decided to end the pregnancy and asked Jamie for his help in procuring an abortion.
After three seasons of mystery, “Yellowstone” reveals Beth hates Jamie because he is the reason that she cannot have children.
If “Yellowstone” fans will remember, Jamie strangled a journalist who interviewed him about John Dutton. Jamie wanted to take it back, the journalist wouldn’t let him, and he killed her.
And Jamie has a son. “You did exactly what you said you were going to do,” Christina tells Jamie after seeing him for the first time in nearly two years. And with tears in his eyes, Jamie finally meets his own child.
Garrett was arrested in 1980 and convicted for the murder of his wife, Jamie’s mother. Jamie was born “Michael,” son to an addict mother and violent father. One day when Garrett found an infant Jamie sucking on a crack pipe while his mother was with another man, Garrett killed her.
Lidya Jewett as Sara Hill, Ruby’s and Stan’s daughter who has kidney disease.
As if the family dynamics on Yellowstone weren’t twisted enough, the Paramount Network drama added a new complication in Season 3: Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) isn’t a biological son of John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Turns out, John adopted Jamie, and Jamie’s real father is a man named Garrett Randall.
When his father gave him a new chance, Jamie went to live in the bunkhouse and started to work on his family’s ranch as one of the hands. He started living in the bunkhouse.
John and Evelyn Dutton were blessed with four children: Jamie has two brothers (Lee and Kayce) and a sister (Beth). They grew up together on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Kayce extended the family, marrying Monica Long and having a son named Tate, Jamie’s nephew. His adoptive mother died when he was younger.
To lash out at her dysfunctional parents, she’s started stealing. However, after Ruby brutally chided her in the last episode, a guilty Sara decides to make amends in “Opportunity” by inviting over the couple whose daughter died, giving Sara the kidney she needed.
At the end of the April 26 episode, Ruby, feeling guilty, bought a car (in cash) for the family of her daughter’s kidney donor.
Season 2, Episode 4 — “Pick Your Poison” After a season and a half of tension, Beth and Rio finally have sex — in a restaurant bathroom. This is a great #Brio episode not just because of the anticipation, but because it’s when Rio first starts to really trust Beth as a potential partner.
