What was Voldemort originally supposed to look like?
Voldemort was tall, thin to the point of looking skeletal and had long, spindly fingers. His skin was completely devoid of colour (i.e. deathly white), he had no body hair and no nose- like a snake, he just has slits where his nose should be.
How did Lord Voldemort lose his nose?
He lost his nose as a sacrifice for immortality, such an immoral deed of tearing ones’ souls into pieces made him a little less human and so he lost his human features and developed reptilian features (like snakes who have slits in place of an actual nose).
Did Voldemort have a nose before he died?
By the time he created the Ravenclaw Diadem, his skin became blurred and waxy. When he killed the Potters, it was unknown what he looked like, though. But if we base appearances based on the movies, then Voldemort will STILL have a nose in PS/SS, meaning that he only lost his nose after GoF.
