What do Jehovah Witness believe about dating?
Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t really date. The Jehovah’s Witness idea of dating is this: When you’re interested in marrying someone, you go out with them, but always with a chaperone. You are never alone, never without a third wheel until you get married, which will usually be less than a year after you’ve met them.
Can Jehovah Witnesses date non Jehovah’s Witnesses?
JWs can date outside of our faith. However the Bible tells us we should not. If a male JW with any positions of responsibility in a congregation was to date an unbeliever, he would lose his privileges. He would not regain any of those privileges for some time, perhaps many years if he married the person he was dating.
Can a JW marry a Catholic?
A Catholic would require dispensation (or formal permission) to marry a non-Catholic. With that said, the Catholic Church does not recognize Jehovah’s Witness’s baptisms as being valid, which creates some issues, and Jehovah’s Witnesses do not typically marry outside of their religion.
