Does Itachi die forever?
Itachi died for the first time in episode 138 after the fight with his younger brother and reincarnated Itachi died in episode 339 after breaking the reincarnation Jutsu.
Why did they kill off Itachi?
Itachi knew he was dying and decided to join the akatsuki so it would be easier for sasuke to find him and hate him even more. Itachi intentionally wanted to die by sasukes hand to atone for his sins, which is why he left sasuke on his own to grow stronger and pursue him.
Is Itachi dead or alive?
Itachi’s death was one of the most devastating ones in Naruto, and everything would be different if he were still around. Itachi ultimately died at the hands of his brother, just as he wanted to, but there are lots of things he could’ve done in his lifetime had he not died so young.
