The seventh grade is the eighth school year, the second year of middle school, the first year of junior high school. Students are around 12-13 years old in this stage.

Logically speaking, a 2 year difference isnt something to be frown upon, but there’s just something uncomfortable about a 8th grader dating a 6th grader, perhaps its because junior highschool kids have most likely went through puberty, and as such, is not a right fit for elementary school kids.

You’re fine! Lots of people I know have dated 1 or 2 grades up, and I’m an 8th grader. You are pretty young right now for a relationship with someone older than you, but it’s still totally ok to be attracted to them!
